Cyshorts has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't collect, store or sell any personal data.

What stays on your phone

Saved stories and their offline copies, recent searches, your topics, summary style, theme, alert setting and cached summaries are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.

Where the news comes from

Cyshorts downloads public news feeds, articles and images directly from the publishers. Like any browser, those sites receive your IP address. Publisher logos come from Google's public favicon service.

AI headlines and summaries

To write a headline and summary, the title and text of the public news article you are reading are sent from your phone to DeepSeek using Cyshorts' own account, so DeepSeek receives your IP address. Nothing about you and nothing you type is sent.

Notifications

New-story alerts are created on your phone. No push service or device token is used.

Children

Cyshorts is not directed at children under 13.
